Update: Capcom has confirmed release plans for both bundles.

It appears that Resident Evil 6 is getting not one, but two special editions separated by platform. Though they haven’t been officially confirmed by Capcom, retail listings claim that the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 special editions will each get their own set of goodies for those willing to shell out some extra dough.

Online retailer Amazon (via Eurogamer) lists a Resident Evil 6 Anthology for PlayStation 3, and a Resident Evil 6 Archives for Xbox 360. Both include Resident Evil 6, naturally, and both cost $89.99 — but they pack vastly different extras.

The Anthology (PS3) includes the Resident Evil Director’s Cut, Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and Resident Evil 4 HD. The Archive (360) offers Resident Evil 4 HD, Resident Evil Code Veronica X HD, Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition, and the Resident Evil Degeneration film.

Shacknews has contacted Capcom to confirm the packages, and will update as more information becomes available. In the meantime, check out our E3 preview for hands-on impressions.
