Have you pre-ordered Darksiders 2 yet? Congratulations, you’ve been upgraded to the Limited Edition. THQ announced today that the LE is coming at no additional cost for all pre-orders, past and future. The company also announced a separate Collector’s Edition, which will pack more bonuses for “around $99.”
The Limited Edition includes the game, along with a voucher for the first piece of single-player downloadable content, titled Argul’s Tomb. The Collector’s Edition, meanwhile, will pack in the Argul’s Tomb DLC, a replica Death Mask with display stand, Shadow of Death armor and scythe, a digital soundtrack, and a hardcover art book. THQ claims the Collector’s Edition will have its supply limited, which makes it a bit odd that it’s not called the “Limited Edition.”
These bonuses join the retailer-specific ones announced last month, which include side-quests, armor, and stat boosts, depending on your store of choice.
Darksiders 2 will be available on June 26 for PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360.
