Hated by some, loved ‘ironically’ by others, and adored by anyone in their right mind, the astonishing Deadly Premonition is coming from Xbox 360 to PlayStation in the first quarter of 2013. The Director’s Cut of Hidetaka ‘Swery’ Suehiro’s Twin Peaks-inspired survival horror, announced in May at GDC, boasts new features and fixes to make the best game even better.

It’ll come souped up with a new scenario, the mysterious tease of “HD graphics,” and DLC “to expand the mystery beyond the original game.” Publisher Rising Star also promises reworked controls, though let’s hope not too much is fixed as the game’s wonkiness is quite charming.

“It’s been a while since Deadly Premonition was released, but I’m still receiving so many messages of support from fans around the world,” director Swery said in today’s announcement. “I’m writing some exciting new scenarios and adding some new features. All will be revealed over the coming months and I’m confident I can deliver an unforgettable experience for you all.”

Now please, pretty please, may we have this for Xbox 360 or even PC too. Look, a cutscene:
