Apparently, Warren Spector wasn’t exactly happy with how the original Epic Mickey turned out. But he’s getting a second chance to make significant changes with a newly-announced sequel. Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two is heading to Wii–and unlike its predecessor, to PS3 and Xbox 360 as well.

The sequel will also have co-op play, where one player plays Mickey and the other can play as Oswald the Rabbit, a character that Walt Disney originally lost in a contract dispute (but reacquired the rights to in 2006).

Unlike the first game, The Power of Two will be fully voiced, the Associated Press reports. Additionally, the sequel will address one of the most commonly criticized elements of the first game: the camera. “We’ve had a team working on the camera from literally the day we finished the first game,” Spector said. “They’ll be working on it until the day we ship the second game. (There have been) over 1,000 specific changes made to the camera. Our goal is that you will not have to touch the manual camera controls even once to play through the main story path of this game.”

It will be curious to see if Junction Point also address the control issues of the original, especially now that the game will run on the traditional game pads offered by PS3 and Xbox. Stay tuned for more.
