[UPDATE 1/30/12 10:05am] Harmonix sent over this brief response on the matter: “As we’ve stated before, our studio is growing and hard at work on a variety of titles. In a storied Harmonix tradition, our designers start working on those games before they’re publicly announced. We’re excited to confirm more information soon, probably via a LinkedIn update or something – we haven’t decided.”

[Original story] Harmonix has been quiet lately, as it benefits from Dance Central dividends. After the developer went indie last year, they released music video-creation app VidRhythm for iOS. But what’s next for the Rock Band creator?

An updated resume for Brian Chan (via Supererogatory) shows him as lead designer on an “unannounced title.” As platforms, he lists Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and oddly enough, Facebook.

Though the resume doesn’t explicitly say so, it seems reasonable to assume this is a music title. Company CEO Florian Hunziker recently said it has multiple music games in development that “won’t resemble” its existing franchises. Scaling back the genre might be just what the doctor ordered, after sales began to slump for big-box plastic instruments games.

Shacknews has contacted Harmonix regarding the listing, and will update as more information becomes available.
