Indie developer Toxic Games has announced some fresh plans for its recently released first-person puzzler, Q.U.B.E. (Quick Understanding of Block Extrusion). I personally enjoyed the game quite a bit, which is why it’s pleasing to discover that the developer is already working on bringing the game to Mac and OnLive, and that the game is also even being prototyped for iOS devices.
The PC version of Q.U.B.E. has already seen some nice success, managing to recoup its Indie Fund investment capital in just four short days after it launched.
Toxic Games managing director and co-founder Daniel Da Rocha explained (via Joystiq). “We’re currently prototyping an iOS version,” he said, “and a Mac version has been in the works for two months now.” He also hopes the OnLive version to be ready by “Q1 2012.”
Da Rocha also revealed that the development team is also very interested in the possibility of bringing Q.U.B.E. to consoles via Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network; however, that’ll likely depend on the performance of the PC release. “It’s all dependent on how well the PC version does,” Da Rocha confirmed.
